YFCU members recently participated in the final of the Public Speaking Competition 2016 on Thursday 3rd November in Antrim Grammar School. The popular competition has been kindly sponsored for a number of years by NFU Mutual Insurance Society Limited.
The Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster will host its second annual agri conference on Saturday January 21st, 2017. Entitled ‘Inspire’, the event will be centered at the Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown. It will comprise a mix of formal presentations, work-shops and farm visits. Proceedings will culminate with a conference dinner on the Saturday evening.
Dunbia hosted a farm event for YFCU members on Rory Best's family farm which focused on Finance in Farming and Succession Planning.
The YFCU Fencing Competition sponsored by Ward and Boyd was held at the NI Ploughing Championships on October 1st.
The YFCU Soil Assessment Competition sponsored by Tesco was held on October 1st at the NI Ploughing Championships, Limavady.
The Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster (YFCU) recently hosted the European Rally which saw over 100 young people from rural Europe travelling to Northern Ireland for an intensive week long programme of leadership, teamwork, education and intercultural experience.
The ‪Young Farmers' Clubs of Ulster‬ Home Management Final 2016, sponsored by Calor Gas and the Ulster Pork and Bacon Forum took place on Monday 20th June at the Southern Regional College, Newry.
