Holestone YFC got to know their neighbours when they held a Community Sports Day on Sunday 14th August. On the day there were traditional sports day races including an egg and spoon race, skipping and a bean bag race. These races were thoroughly enjoyed by the youngsters in attendance with medals being awarded for the winners. The day also saw some slippery football which was a big hit among the members and the wider community. Slippery football saw some competitiveness with some people going home a bit drenched but all with smiles on their faces. There was also a bouncy castle which was a great hit among both the younger and older community. Holestone member Clara McConnell also showed the community her creative side with some face painting, which saw pirates and princesses leaving at the end of the day. Refreshments were also provided for everyone. The day was a great hit and Holestone YFC would like to thank everyone who came and supported them on the day.
