Young Farmers Receive Scholarship to Oxford Conference

The YFCU has received a scholarship from the Irish Farmers’ Journal and Moores Animal Feeds for two of its members to attend the Oxford Farming Conference.
The conference delegates are Simon Connell, Ulster Young Farmer of the Year 2009 and James Taylor, YFCU vice president, and they will travel to Oxford University for the event which will take place from 4th to 6th January 2010 and report on their experience.

The theme for this year’s conference will focus on preparing the world as it moves out of the recession and will look at issues important to UK agriculture as it does.

Both YFCU representatives will take part in the discussions with the aim of bringing back information on the latest trends and developments in the industry to YFCU members.

YFCU would like to extend a note thanks to the Irish Farmers’ Journal and Moores Animal Feeds for giving Simon and James the opportunity to attend the conference.
